North Georgia 2019 Player Rankings Version 2.0

Version 2.0 of the Recruit Georgia 2019 North Georgia Player Rankings eyes expansion from a Top 80 to a Top 95 with 15 new names. Each new name added to the rankings is colored blue.

The highest new entry at #14 is massive defensive end Rashad “Bubba” Cheney, Jr. of Booker T. Washington in Atlanta. Cheney has been playing on the varsity squad since he was a freshman and earned First Team All-Region this past season.

Coming in at #19 is prolific athlete Nicolas Toomer of Landmark Christian. The two-way standout earned First Team All-Region at defensive back. As a freshman he finished third in the state in the 100-meters and fourth in the Triple Jump.

Massive inside linebacker Preston Daniels of Washington County comes in at #37. At 6-foot-2, 225-pounds he already possesses the desired size that college coaches covet in a ball hawking inside linebacker. Daniels led both squads in tackles at the Georgia Elite Sophomore Classic with seven stops.

A pair of running backs from Gwinnett County left their mark at the Junior Elite Sophomore Classic in December. Ronald Thompkins, Jr. of Grayson carried the ball nine times for 64 yards in the All-Star extravaganza while Tyler Goodson of North Gwinnett touched the ball eight times for 94 yards. Look for Thompkins to make a huge plash for the defending state champs this fall. Thompkins makes his entry at #39 and Goodson is right on his heels at #42.

Any coach that feels that their sophomore athlete has been missed on this early list should contact us via Twitter @BVEvery or @RecruitGeorgia. Please include the Hudl link when promoting your player and the film must be at the varsity level.

The are some superb athletes in Class A Private across the state of Georgia…..many of them are being overlooked….like diamonds in the rough! Stetson University stole one of these athletes 5 years ago in Donald Payne “The Payne Train” and as he graduates he is also slated to go late first round early second round in the 2017 NFL draft. So don sleep!

Be on the lookout for over 6’3 WR Dylan Leonard out of Milton High School. Sophomore varsity season shortened due to injury. Has sure hands, runs great routes and is a big time red zone threat. Big things expected in 2017.

DeJuan Brown out of eagles Landing high school definitely needs to be on this list , 5’9 150lbs , this kid is a straight baller with 4ints 20 tackles and 6 pass deflections , he deserves it !!! If he isn’t on this list it must be inaccurate.
