What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?

I am a starting varsity player for Langston Hughes High School in Fairburn GA. I play DE/DT and O-Tackle. I am a rising Junior. I am currently 6’6” and 260lbs. I am humble, hardworking and coachable. I have a core GPA of 3.083 and have set a goal to play NCAA football to allow me the opportunity to go to college and further my education. My recruiting profiles are Twitter @brycenelms58 and my Hudl link is http://www.hudl.com/v/1p98jL.

Nelms looks the part of a potential power 5 talent. His length gives him a hug advantage and is just starting to scratch the surface of his potential. Nelms has packed on another 20 pounds since we made his profile in the summer of 2016. Colleges will be very interested in the big framed jumbo athlete. One area that he has really improved is his quickness in the last year and we think the 2019 DL is going to have a massive year catching the attention of colleges from across the country.

I had an opportunity to see this young man in action this week during spring practice at Langston Hughes high school. He is tall with long arms and a solid body. He can play both sides of the ball but was primarily being use at left tackle. This young man was playing with the second group on Monday but by Wednesday had worked his way up to the first team. His potential is limitless and if he gains weight over the next three years he could be a dominant D1 player and possibly a first round draft pick in the future.
