Samuels is a playmaker with his feet out there on the field and can escape out of some tricky situations because of it. His explosive first step gives him a major advantage and defender typically take bad angles. This year he’s running through contact, and showing an athletic burst that we look for in FBS running backs. Really like his forward pad lean, which allows him to pickup extra yardage. Samuels has outstanding vision, sticks his cleats into the turf and makes a quick decision when the ball is in his hands. He shows solid hands coming out of the backfield, but would like to see him continue to improve. This time a year from now he should be over 200 pounds and wide selection of offers to choose from.
