Malmgren has very good height at 6’3″, which allows him to see the field comfortable. He does a good job of anticipating his receivers break and has good timing. He needs to work on his footwork and that should help with his velocity more and also not overthrowing but he will be a gamer at the varsity level. Quick decision making will be his best asset early on, and certainly something he has the leg up on compared to other class of 19 QB’s. Malmgren had the most yards for any sophomore in GA. He was All County, Honorable Mention All Region, NP Most Valuable Back. He made the Soph Elite Jr Classic and the True19 Team and was recognized by Max Preps as SE player of the Week for his performance against Woodstock. His junior year “The General” led his team to one of the best records in Class 7-A. His ability to spread the ball out to his receivers has always been a skill that has stood out, and his decision making is a major advantage over other QB’s in his class. Ball location and timing is near the tops in Georgia. Improving his athleticism, mobility in the pocket specifically, will help Malmgren earn FBS offers.

2016 STATS: 2533 yards, 24 TD passes & 63%.
