The Archer 2019 recruit is a really impressive young prospect with a great feel for the game. He is excellent at timing his jump with the flight of the pass and making the pass breakup. Phillips plays well out in the flats and closes on the ball carrier like greased lightening. He was an important starter the last two years at Archer, sophomore year at strong safety, and junior at free safety. He is an elite open field tackler, shows great reactions flowing to the football. Phillips has gained another two inches to his frame, when coupled with his elite football IQ he looks to be one of the top defensive backs in the class of 2019 in Georgia, and has the prove versatility to excel at multiple positions at the next level.

Jalyn is a very explosive player and is good at making plays for his team. He quickness and ability to accelerate in and out of cuts allows him to make people miss. With more work on his speed and strength, Jalyn will be able to compete at a high level on varsity.
