2018 South Georgia’s Top 75 v2.0

Version 2.0 of the South Georgia Player Rankings sees expansion from a Top 60 to a Top 75 with 15 new names. Each new name is colored blue.

Former defensive end Jalen Goss of Lowndes makes his entry at #24. This past season Goss was one of the anchors along an offensive front that averaged a whopping 45.7 points per contest. Though very raw at this time his 6-foot-7 frame will surely attract college coaches looking for athletic pass protectors.

Coming in at #25 is safety Dan Land, III of Westover High School in Albany. As a junior Land was named Second Team All-Region. He led the Patriots with three interceptions.

Peach County finished the 2016 season (12-2) and the leader of the defensive unit was linebacker JaQuez Jackson. Jackson led the Trojans with 115 tackles, 13 TFL’s and three sacks. His effort did not go unnoticed as he was named First Team All-Middle Georgia by the Macon Telegraph. He makes his entry at #31.

One of the top offensive weapons for the Lowndes Vikings this past season was Tayvonn Kyle. The two-way standout caught 24 passes for 651 yards and six scores while recording ten tackles and one pick. Kyle was recognized as Second Team All-Region and makes his entry at #41.

Rounding out the Top Five for new entries is Kaleb Dawson of Colquitt County. Dawson recorded 75 tackles, three PBU’s and one pick in 2016. He was also named Second Team All-Region. Dawson comes in at #43.

Once Version 2.0 of the North Georgia Rankings runs the position rankings will be redone. The second version of the position rankings will include all 300 athletes.
The South Georgia Top 75 will be updated and expanded, but we need your help in finding the college stars of tomorrow whether they are FBS, FCS or DII. If you feel that a player from South Georgia in the class of 2018 is missing please feel free to contact us via twitter @BVEvery or @RecruitGeorgia.

Our goal is to help as many football players in the state of Georgia reach their goal of playing football on a full or partial scholarship. In the end it’s the education that a student athlete receives that will eventually carry them through life. Football is a great sport but it comes to an end at an early age.

Rankings are a bit off need to check with other recruiting services to compare before ranking players!
    247 Sports, Rivals, Scout.com & ESPN

    1. Why would we look at other people’s rankings if we are doing our own? Also I was not aware these websites do South Georgia rankings. Is scout.com even a website even more? Their top regional guy just left for Rivals.
