Watson has good footwork in the pocket and does a good job of setting his feet before he throws. He started three years in HS, and one thing that stands out his ability to see the field. The senior goes through his progressions and seems calm in the pocket. He feels pressure naturally and has active feet. Watson is fearless and looks like he has a lot of potential to play at the next level. He has elite ball location and is deadly when in the redzone. Talking with other coaches around the state, and one from 7-A thought he was near the top in GA behind Lawrence and Fields. That’s high praise, but says a lot about Watson, who never pushed his recruitment much, and chose baseball and mission trips instead of camps.
