My grades, work ethic, and character which is very positive
Dawson has made the switch to FS last season and he flourished with the new position switch. His speed allows him to cover a lot of ground so he can play pretty deep on each play. He is quick to step up in run support tho and perhaps his best skill set is how secure he wraps up on his tackles. The senior sees the field really well and we have rarely seen him get beat deep this year from the many Colquitt Co. games that have been on TV over the years. Dawson is a good around football player and has the versatility any of the DB positions at the next level. His reliability up top at safety is a very important aspect to his game. He’s a really high-character football player, and growing into a leader this fall at Colquitt County. His play will be a contributing factor stopping the pass-happy teams up in North Georgia heading into the playoffs. Biggest improvement from last year is how hard Dawson is hitting now – he showed flashes last season but is consistently laying the wood now. Dawson has really improved his awareness on the field especially on passing downs.
