RECRUITING BUZZ




Chris Sibilia, a rising senior offensive tackle out of North Gwinnett, will be heading to Virginia tomorrow. The Elite JR Classic alum was offered by Mercer recently.

Deon Jackson out of Pace Academy was offered by Wisconsin. The rising senior running back’s recruitment really took off at the end of February when Northwestern, West Virginia, Oregon State, Boston College, Rutgers and Maryland all offered around that time.

Mary Persons offensive guard Caleb Etheridge was offered by Western Kentucky. The Hilltoppers are offer #3 following Marshall and Samford.

Daetrich Harrington, a rising senior back out of Alexander, was offered by Navy. Harrington also has offers from Ball State, Army, Mercer, Cincinnati & Georgia State among others. We covered him earlier this year and think he is a player that will be heavily recruited.

Mississippi State is the first Power 5 school to offer Kyric McGowan out of Dalton HS. Earlier this afternoon the Duke Blue Devils joined in and offered. The speedy athlete has received 11 offers since we made his profile a month ago.

Dacula defensive back Jay Jones was offered by Cincinnati yesterday. The All-County DB has also been offered by Navy, Elon, and Miami (OH) since the beginning of March.

Right after writing about Antwon Kincade on Wednesday he received his first offer from Central Michigan. The Valdosta safety should see continued interest due to his physicality and size at safety.

First Team All Gwinnett Co. offensive lineman Jack Franklin received an offer from UAB. A bunch of regional mid-majors have offered the Mill Creek rising senior. The big man took a visit to Vanderbilt on March 26th.

Stephenson athlete Hassan Littles was offered by Fresno State yesterday. The two-way player visited NC State and Eastern Carolina during his spring break. FILM

Jadon Walker is touring the northeast with visits to Rutgers and Princeton yesterday. Walker is a 6’1″ 185 athlete out of Chapel Hill who is very versatile. Army and Navy are his only two offers at this point.

Linebacker/H-Back Mac Redmond from Lambert HS was officially invited to G Day tomorrow.




Langston Hughes rising senior QB Isaiah Green let us know that he will be visiting Tennessee this weekend. Green (6’3″ 198) was voted Region Offensive Player of the Year and played in the Rising Seniors game. Gardner Webb offered on April 11th.  FILM

Dontae Wilson out of Jefferson was offered by Jax State yesterday. The 2x All State selection at defensive tackle now has 4 offers.

Newton safety Robert Black continues to keep on picking up solid FBS offers and was offered by Ball State yesterday.

Gainesville defensive playmaker Kris Montague has been offered by Kentucky Christian, Alfred State, Avila, Lindenwood, and St. Francis since April 11th.

Micah Hughes updated us on where Ridgeland athletes have and will be visiting: “Markeith Montgomery, Stephon Walker, and Skye Wilson went to the University of Alabama last Wednesday. Markeith Montgomery visited the University of Georgia last Thursday. We have Markeith Montgomery, Jayln Shelton, and CJ Shackelford who visited Georgia Tech last Saturday. Upcoming visits for Markeith Montgomery, Jayln Shelton, Skye Wilson, Stephon Walker, and Tanner Hill are Georgia Southern, Louisville, and Samford.”

Buford’s class of 2018 defensive back Bryson Richardson was offered by Tennessee Wednesday night. The Vols are his 2nd offer following Louisville on January 26th. Richardson has excellent size at 6’1″ and has the versatility to play any of the DB positions. FILM

Central Florida was offer #8 for Michael Adams out of Chattooga HS. He’s received a lot of P5 interest in the last week.

Noah Davenport will be starting his first season of varsity football at Calhoun and the offensive guard expects to make an impact. He let Recruit Georgia know that he plans to visit Eastern Kentucky this weekend. The rising senior has good size and is also working out at tight end some.

Caleb Chandler received his 20th and 21st offers a few nights back. Virginia Tech and Florida have both now jumped on the very athletic offensive tackle out of Jefferson. This was shortly after his announced Top 10, which we expected to be fluid.

Soon-to-be freshmen Dawson Ellington and Kiman Vidal continue to dominate Middle School athletics. Their track team broke the 4×100 record on April 13.

Cedar Shoals rising senior Stavion Stevenson is excited about visiting Central Florida this weekend. The lanky defensive end prospect has received a lot of interest from Coastal Carolina and App State.

Grayson freshman Kenyatta Watson received his first collegiate offer. Earlier this week Boston College pulled the trigger on the 6’1″ 167-pound defensive back who runs a reported 4.53 40 time.

Rising junior Brock Mattison let me know about his visit to Tennessee tomorrow. Last fall he lead all sophomores in sacks despite have a broken metarsal for 3 games. He went under the knife yesterday to clean things up and the 2018 athlete also said he is up to 220 pounds.

Wesley Guilford will be visiting Samford this weekend. The rising Stockbridge senior is a really quick two-way player who already holds an offer from Navy.

Calhoun freshman QB Gavin Gray let us know about his latest camp and junior day invites. So far the young gunslinger has received invites to Savannah State, LaGrange, Northern Arizona and Methodist.
