Jacob Cendoya from Mt. Pisgah ran away with the QB All-State selection this year. The multi-sport athlete passed for 2920 yards, rushed for 1176 yards, and totaled 51 touchdowns. He has a lightening-quick first step & was offered by East Tennessee State this fall.

Adam Byck led Savannah Country Day and the entire classification with 2061 yards, on a whopping 361 rushing attempts and 22 TD’s. In a 2nd round playoff game he had 327 yards on 41 carries, which help beat Mt. Pisgah 20-17. Jalen Leary was one of the best two-way players in Class A but earns All-State RB due to his 1627 yards and 21 touchdowns on the ground. He is a super-shifty junior from Calvary Day and absolutely a recruit to watch for this offseason. Josh Mays from ELCA was Region Offensive Player of the Year after he rushed for 1389 yards and 21 touchdowns in the Chargers extremely balanced offensive system.

First Presbyterian wide out Titus Moore had 1474 yards receiving and 15 touchdowns – both leading Class A. The recent Samford commit averaged 19.4 yards per reception on 76 receptions with a long of 81 yards. Lakeview Academy junior KJ Millwood ended up with 76 catches for 1173 yards and 8 touchdowns on the season. The junior is the epitome of reliability and was tied for the reception lead in Class A. Christian Parrish built on his prolific sophomore season with an even better junior year. The Prince Avenue Christian athlete had 1388 yards receiving and averaged 22 yards per catch, which was the most of any player with over 30 receptions in Class A. Mykel Tubbs had another strong season where he saw constant double teams and still came up big. The Holy Innocents’ senior had possibly the catch of the year against Strong Rock Christian where he caught the ball one-handed surrounded by 3 players. Army, Air Force and Kennesaw State are showing heavy interest right now.

Gavan George jumps back into the our All-State selections for the 2nd year in a row. The left tackle has been a staple for ELCA the last two seasons and will be signing with Mercer. The Walker School’s Hunter Nourzad was just recently anointed Region Lineman of the Year. The athletic 6’4″ lineman also boasts elite grades. Al Hogan is a very athletic lineman out of Landmark Christian who just smashes in the opposing defense. The senior is committed to Wofford. Dylan McMahon is the best center prospect we have evaluated in the class of 2019. The Savannah Christian center has unbelievable strength and quickness at the point of attack. Prince Avenue senior Daniel Parrish is a stick of dynamite in the trenches. The Army commit blows back defenders out of the way with relative ease. Tad Aycock from Fellowship Christian had the best season out of any lineman in Class A private. The 2018 offensive guard just dominates the competition on each play.

Hawkins Pindar takes the All-State kicker spot after his outstanding season where he went 13-15 including a 54-yard bomb which broke one of the many school records he holds at Savannah Country Day. Banks Ramsey earns All-State athlete after playing all over this season for Wesleyan. The senior has 1875 yards passing, 26 passing TD’s, plus 417 yards rushing and 9 more TD’s. He also did work on defense with 35 tackles, 5 sacks and 3 interceptions.

Moving over to the defensive side of the ball which is headlined by Harrison Taylor from ELCA. The 2018 defensive end won Region Defensive Player of the Year for the 2nd year in a row and has a motor that never stops. Another Region Defensive player of the year that makes our All-State spot is Tobe Umerah from Stratford Academy. The 2018 pass-rusher has pledged his commitment to Stanford. Taequan Washington from Calvary Day has made over 90 tackles per season since his sophomore year. This year the powerful lineman ended with 99, which led Class A private defensive tackles. Sayyid Stevens his teammate at Calvary Day lived in opposing team’s backfields as well. The junior ended up with 99 tackles, 11 sacks and 32 tackles for loss. Fellowship Christian’s Billy McCurry led all of Class A Private with 15 sacks. This is the 2nd year in a row the relentless lineman has been a sack leader in Georgia.

Aquinas senior Joseph Douglas finished his fall with 115 tackles while also contributing 1006 yards on offense. The do-it-all athlete totaled 68 tackles in his final 5 games and his 76 solo was near the tops in all of Class A. George Shockley had another excellent season at ELCA, where he flew all over the field making plays. He is an explosive linebacker who gets downhill and performs debilitating tackles. Michael Moyers had an amazing 139 tackles in just 10 games this year, which was the highest tackle per game average in Class A Private. The junior from Hebron Christian also had 18 tackles for loss and 2 forced fumbles. Speedy linebacker Sam Wessinger was another solo tackle leader in Class A with 71. He finished off his senior year with 124 total tackles, 4 sacks and also contributed over 1000 yards of total offense.

ELCA’s Tre’ Douglas goes without question as the best defensive back in Class A. He is a lockdown cornerback who is an elite 1 v 1 tackler out in space. Douglas is committed to Vanderbilt. Cameron Browning’s 5 interceptions this year tied him for 2nd in Class A. The Our Lady of Mercy corner is super aggressive, and his deceptive vertical jump allows him to high-point passes that most DB’s his size cannot reach. Sophomore Jalen Huff led all of Class A with 6 interceptions on the year. The Athens Academy standout is a lockdown cornerback who led his squad to the state title game. Fellow Athens Academy teammate Payton Bowles did everything for his squad playing both running back and defensive back. He is an aggressive hitter and this season he forced 4 fumbles for his squad.  Another Our Lady of Mercy defender made our All-State squad in Taj Dodson. The junior, who has already earned some recent P5 interest, finished the year with 92 tackles and 3 interceptions. He was also a key contributor on the offensive side of the football.

Aquinas’ senior punter Crimmins Hankinson earns All-State honors again. The senior had another stellar season where he average 37 yards per punt and his longest going for 57 yards. Khaleb Hood from ELCA had a special season returning the football, and by our count, he had 9 returns for a touchdown. The 2018 recruit suffered an injury his junior season, but came back in a big way this fall. He was just recently offered by East Carolina but more FBS squads are sure to jump on.

Just out of curiosity… how did Caleb Pressley miss one of the 3 RB spots… acquired 1539 rushing yards 15 yrs with the hardest Single A private schedule in the state. These 1539 came in less game than both than all 3 and with about a 100 less carries than 1 of the selected.

Just a little intrigued as to how he was overlooked.

Jalen Huff led all of Class A with 6 interceptions as a DB this yr………Payton Bowles was our all-region running back…… How could you look over Jalen’s DB stats when he led the class in Picks????? SMH…. Did you guys really watch film?

    1. I’m aware of the All-Region selections and did watch film too. Went with two CB’s & two S’s.

How can u leave Soohmore Jalen Huff off he lead Private A in interceptions with 6 the information u guys have are wrong.

You posted that you picked one of the CB’s because they tied this Yrs class with 5 ints…… you were aware that the Sophomore Huff had 6ints??? Did you communicate with any coaches about these stats or Positions?

    1. I used Maxpreps, Georgia High School football daily, some high schools and our database to get our stats. We did not talk directly with anyone from Athens Academy. It was a bad decision leaving Huff off the list, and admit 100% fault. We will take corrective actions, instead of being stubborn and unwilling to change.

Not one kid from MPC… Konner Henkle was Defensive player of the year in the region, To put kids from the same region at the same position ahead of him SMH….I also think it would be good to do a second team and honorable mention.

  18. Great job all year. Reality if it wasn’t for your site 1A players won’t get any notoriety for all their hard work and accomplishments. Unfortunately in metro Atlanta, we are left with Stc from AJC and he checked out a couple years ago. Great job and thank you.

Looks like I started something here…. My apologies. I was just a little surprised that he didn’t make your list. Single A private I thought with three slots he would have made one. The time you took to put the list together is appreciated and I believe only because of what you’ve created through your efforts it’s being reacted to lile this. So in a strange way you should feel accomplished lol!

Obviously some bias here… You don’t have any representation from the #3 team in the stats. MPC’s DL Henkle better than anyone you have listed… Harris as good as any LB, the two Safeties Stallings and Stephens better than all but maybe the sophomore Huff and we played all those teams. Offensively RB Webber QB Vangarelli just as good. JMO…

  21. I appreciate all of the input everyone and no I’m not biased James Cook. I’m from Cobb Co. in fact.

Not on Mount Paran player on this list – Konner Henkle DE, Drake Harris LB, Landin Jackson OL, Niko Vangarelli QB, Jack Allen ATH – All these guys were the cornerstone of a semi finalist team that missed state championship by a touchdown. These guys deserve a look, but really how can you not have at least one or two Mount Paran kids from the 3rd best team in Single A private?

  23. Cant believe you left Zack Jones from ELCA off the list .
You cant count the NUMBER of pancake blocks he made .
When Gess needed a yard he ran behind #56. Every time . Lol , just ask him .
Any way , THANKS for what you do .
    God Bless !

How about Sean Paradise from St. Francis? Junior RB with 1533 yards on the regular season and he missed two games due to injury.

    1. Both him and Pressley are extremely impressive juniors. We take into consideration the playoffs, and value big performances in the most important games too. Some might look at Mays numbers and think they are low, but you have to consider that in most games he played half of the game due to blowouts. I look forward to seeing both Sean and Caleb take a jump next year and carry their team deep into the playoffs. That’s senior leadership, and what it takes to be All-State.

  25. Why do players like Titus Moore not have big offers what are his inefficiencies?
