A collective sigh of relief can be heard around Jefferson High School today after rising senior Zack Boobas was finally offered.

A head-scratchingly long list of schools came through Jefferson High School this spring and passed on All-State safety Zack Boobas, but finally the news the Jefferson faithful had been waiting for came today. Army has been a heavy recruiter of the state since former Georgia Southern football coach Jeff Monken jumped ship to West Point two seasons ago.
We wrote about Boobas earlier this spring, and he is the epitome of the student-athlete that the Army Black Knights would covet. He is a leader on his team and has letters in wrestling, baseball and football.
We expect now more offers will be on their way. Navy is also very interested in the Jefferson safety, so do not be surprised to see their name pop up very soon.
