Carter, manning the middle, snuffed out a crossing route and delivered a punishing hit that left the ball-carrier flying through the air. Watch Carter’s film long enough and you will notice that his big hits are a regular Friday-night occurrence.

The Class of ’17 safety models his game after legendary safety Sean Taylor and has lofty goals for this upcoming season. “My goal is to break the school record for INT’s,” Carter said.

The 5’11”, 170-pound safety tracks the ball excellently and is a vicious tackler. He is a natural athlete and instinctively puts himself in great position to make a big play.

Carter is a versatile player with quick hips, and he reads the quarterback’s eyes well. He has been improving his man-to-man coverage, and our staff wouldn’t rule out the possibility of him playing cornerback at the next level.

Northgate made it to the state semifinals last season, and the first-team All-State play by Terrance Carter is one reason why. He totaled 62 tackles, had six interceptions and forced three fumbles.

The Northgate senior has to be one of the biggest-hitting defensive backs in the state of Georgia. If you’re interested in recruiting Terrance Carter, click HERE to view his profile.
