Three Heating Up

Denzel Moore
2023 Meadowcreek

Moore has been a consistent name the last week here in the state, and is quickly emerging as one of the more coveted 2023 prospects. Just in the last week, Moore has earned offers from Auburn, UAB, Georgia Tech, Tenn, UGA, South Carolina, and Florida State. The young pass-rusher has gone fully en fuego! Here is a story we wrote about Moore at the start of the month prior to this offer explosion.

Jomel Robinson
2021 MLK

The All-County tackling machine out of MLK has seen a major boost to his recruitment the last few weeks here. Robinson, a rising senior linebacker, has earned offers from Charleston Southern, Tuskegee and North Alabama recently while also continuing heavy interest from additional D1 programs. Robinson stands 6′ 210 lbs. with a 3.4 GPA – someone the staff identified at the beginning of the year to us as a D1 recruit, and they were definitely right. Expect more college interest here soon.

Gabe Idowu
2021 Statesboro

Idowu has been accumulating offers slowly here this offseason, but mostly from DII programs until Southeast Missouri came in with an offer yesterday. The quick 6′ 180 lbs. defensive back holds a good GPA at 3.4. Considering his ideal frame and physical nature at the DB position, Idowu looks to be a solid boundary corner at the next level. Love how physical Idowu is raking the football out the receiver’s hands. Summer camp season would have been big for the rising senior, but still think more D1 programs jump in here with an offer – his physical tools are just too enticing.

Sleeper of the Day

Corey Johnston
2021 South Gwinnett

Johnson will go up for the ball and put his body on the line order to do it. He is a coordinated football player with good body composition so he can contort his body in crazy ways to make the catch. Cannot deny that he is a legit lob threat, and at 6’2″ that should translate well in college. Needs to get stronger though after the catch, Johnson doesn’t break many tackles after the catch. Route running is pretty good though, and his body control suggest that he could be a good intermediate threat as well as a deep ball. Johnston has been a 3 year varsity starter, he participated in the Rising Senior All-Star game too, as well. He is one of the best at high-pointing the football in this class, but still waiting for offers to come in.
