RECRUITING BUZZ

Houston County 6’4″, 315-pound offensive lineman Deontrey Hill‘s recruitment has caught on fire as of late. The rising junior has earned offers from South Florida, Michigan State, Mississippi State, Coastal Carolina and Mercer in the last 10 days. FILM

Caleb Chandler has received his 24th and 25th offers in the last few days. UAB and Cincinnati are the latest schools in pursuit of the 6’6″, 310-pound offensive tackle.

Fitzgerald star running back JD King made a visit to Oklahoma State yesterday. The Cowboys offered him late March.

Kentucky Christian is the first school to offer Newton rising senior Robert Sease. The 2017 linebacker has good instincts at his position and a rock-solid 3.5 GPA.

Aquinas high-pointing expert at WR, Justin Gibbs, landed an offer from Purdue on May 4th.




Emory Jones continues to collect ACC and SEC offers. South Carolina is the latest school to offer. Also check out this short video from Paul Fortenberry on Twitter with Emory throwing the ball 60-plus yards. CLICK

Ole Miss and Wake Forest are the two latest schools to offer freshman phenom Dominick Blaylock. He now has over 20 offers.

The Tar Heels are the latest school to offer fleet-footed Donte Burton. The Class of ’18 CB has five FBS offers now and sticks to his man like glue.

Kent State and Furman have offered hard-hitting Cedar Grove safety Korey Hernandez.

We highlighted Kearis Jackson a few weeks back when he was offered by UGA. Another in-state school joined the Dawgs this week when Georgia Southern offered the electrifying wide receiver on Wednesday.

First team All-Region LB/RB Emeka Nwanze was offered by Georgia State a few days back. The Panthers were his first offer. Today, Rutgers extended an offer to the 6’0″, 200-pound Class of ’18 athlete.

Jamichael Baldwin, a super-fast slot back from Cedar Shoals, landed his second offer on May 4th from Avila University.

Hard-hitting Newton safety Robert Black received an offer a few days back from Eastern Kentucky. Black also holds offers from Mercer, Ball State, Central Michigan, The Citadel, Army and Samford.

Callaway playmaking athlete Braylon Sanders landed an offer from Jacksonville State. Southern Miss also offered a few weeks back, but his recruitment should heat up this summer—Sanders has some serious jets. He also holds offers from UGA, Ole Miss, and Miss State

Levi Seabolt landed his second scholarship on May 4th when Mercer offered the run-blocking expert for Gilmer. He was offered a few weeks back by Marshall (STORY).

Jake Smith, a 6’6″, 330-pound offensive lineman, landed an offer from Georgia State. He was also offered earlier this spring by Troy. The Lanier OT is a rising senior who moves well for his size.




The Citadel offered Aquinas two-way athlete Verenzo Holmes on May 4th. Posted a video of him taking a KO to the house during last year’s state championship game.

Sandy Creek OT Cole Neely landed an offer from Elon. The rising senior is fundamentally sound and made Top 5 OL in Bigman Takeover in early April.

Sandy Creek teammate Nick Fulwider is a 6’7″, 225-pound rising junior defensive end who landed his first college scholarship a few days back when the Mercer Bears offered. The Class of ’18 DE looks like he could a be a real player this fall for Sandy Creek.

Two SEC East schools offered Morgan County Class of ’18 OLB Quin Williams yesterday. South Carolina and Florida sent in offers following Tennessee, Bama and Louisville offers last week.

Kyric McGowan was offered by Vanderbilt yesterday. The Dalton rising senior has a 3.7 GPA and had a great visit to Duke a few weeks back.

Another Dalton player made the news. John Whiteside, a 6’2″, 320-pound defensive tackle, has received offers from Mercer, Austin Peay and Georgia State in the last two days. Big man has solid strength, benching over 415 pounds and squatting 510 while also having quick feet running a 4.94 40 and 4.61 shuttle.

Jacob Bolton, a big offensive tackle for Blessed Trinity, was offered by Mercer yesterday. He was also offered by Georgia State and Troy at the end of April.

Callaway two-way athlete Michael Freeman was offered by Samford and The Citadel this week. He could either play OLB or TE at the next level.

Woodland-Stockbridge middle linebacker Tre’ Allen landed his first SEC offer today when Missouri let the 2017 linebacker know it was in need of his services. Wake Forest is also very interested in the rising senior.

Troy and UNC have offered elite freshman offensive lineman Keiondre Jones today. The big man has received heavy SEC interest very early into his recruitment.
