Holloman Commits to Michigan

A duo of Newton High School football players are now committed to Michigan. Junior wide receiver Jermeiah “JJ” Holloman pledged his commitment to Michigan earlier this morning, joining fellow 2017 star running back Kurt Taylor.

Holloman toured many of the same schools with Taylor this fall, including Michigan, and nearly 10 FBS schools had offered. Taylor let Recruit Georgia know today about his teammate’s commitment.

Holloman announced on Twitter:

Northwestern, Indiana, and Vanderbilt hotly pursued the star wideout, who is also an excellent student. Holloman (6’3″ 195) is elite at high-pointing the football and does a great job of fighting for position. He is deceptively fast, and a long-strider, making him an ideal deep ball threat. His body control for his size is what separates him from the pack. Routinely you see him make adjustments to passes mid-flight, and has soft hands when catching the ball.

Recruit Georgia was expecting Holloman to receive a lot of recruiting attention from Power 5 schools this offseason, but Michigan offered early enough to land the Newton star.

The Kurt Taylor connection played an important role in his recruitment and it appears that Michigan has their sights set on one more Newton junior. Jaquan Henderson, an OLB commit to UCLA, has made many visits with Holloman and Taylor throughout their recruitment; could the duo soon become a trio?

Stay tuned to Recruit Georgia..
