A really athletic wide receiver who has been making noise this fall is Jeremiah Holloman from Newton High School in Covington. The uber-athletic wideout has great size (6’3″, 195) and does a terrific job of high-pointing the ball when it’s thrown his way.

We spoke with our Week 11 Play of the Week winner about his fall and recruitment.

“My recruitment has been great, it steadily has increased each week,” Holloman told Recruit Georgia.

CGSydgVXEAAWOPONewton’s offensive philosophy dictates the ball to be spread around, but that has not stopped Holloman from putting up big numbers this fall.

“I’m at 30 catches for a little over 600 yards with 8 total touchdowns this year.”

Said Holloman about his favorite part of playing football, “I really enjoy being able to say I put my all on the line for the people around/next to me, it improves me as a person. It gives me a feeling that I’m accountable and selfless.”

Newton’s star wideout had a really impressive summer camp stint when he received offers from Georgia Southern and South Florida, among others. His FBS interest carried over into the season, and he was also offered by Indiana on a visit over a month ago.

Holloman has been all over taking visits. “I have been able to visit Troy, Georgia Southern, Auburn, Alabama, Vanderbilt, Georgia Tech and Indiana.”

Newton is entering the playoffs after winning its first region championship since 1987 and is slotted to play East Coweta in the first round. The Rams climbed as high as No. 8 in Recruit Georgia’s Power Rankings and have had convincing wins over Tucker and Westlake during the season.

The junior playmaker spoke about his playoff expectations: “I feel like we are a championship program as long as we play our game and nobody else’s.”

JJ Holloman is the second-ever winner for Recruit Georgia’s Play of the Week with a staggering 7,700 votes to win first place.
