Haselwood Commits to Georgia #NewBreed19

Jadon Heselwood is one of the top players in the entire country for the class of 2019, and earlier today he decided to commit to the University of Georgia. The play-making wide receiver was instrumental in Cedar Groves’ 2016 state championship game victory over Greater Atlanta Christian. His decision, despite being very early, seems rock solid, and former Cedar Grove teammates Netori Johnson and Justin Shaffer, two offensive lineman who will play next fall in Athens, seemed to have played an important role in the process, as well as the unrelenting support of the UGA fanbase.

He currently ranks as the #5 player in Georgia for the class of 2019 and chose the Dawgs over offers from Ohio State, Tennessee, and Alabama. Haselwood’s recruitment started off early and we wrote about him a year ago last May and the emerging Power 5 interest. The 2019 recruit has already been invited to every All-Star game under the sun for his senior year, and ultimately chose to attend the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.

The Cedar Grove athlete is a star for his team, playing at both safety and wide receiver. This upcoming season he will be leaned on even more, and a 1000-yard season seems more than likely. Haselwood’s commitment comes shortly after a fellow class of 2019 prospect Rashad Cheney’s, a defensive lineman from Washington HS who is currently ranked the #13 player in the class.
