Caleb Tannor’s Recruitment Taking Off

High school recruits from across the state are starting to see an uptick in their recruitment, but very few players are blowing up like Miller Grove’s pass rushing specialist Caleb Tannor. The athletic DE entered the 2017 calendar year with a handful of mid-major FBS offers, but over the last few weeks, Power 5 colleges have begun to sink their teeth into his recruitment, and he now has over 20 offers to date.

Tannor, ranked #12 DE in the state, was last offered on March 8th by way of Missouri. The SEC East school, like many colleges, believe they can develop the speedy 6’3″ 230-pound athlete into an elite pass-rusher at the next level. Fellow Power 5 programs that are joining the Tigers are Kansas, West Virginia, Maryland and Rutgers, but do not count out schools like Tulane, who is recruiting him really hard, and local college Georgia State, which is one of the few schools he has visited so far this offseason.

Players like Tannor with excellent speed are becoming more and more prominent in modern defensive schemes to counter the spread offense. Head football coach Justin Lamond spoke about what type of player a college would get in Tannor, “Caleb is an explosive player on and off the field who has yet to tap into his full potential.” Interested in recruiting Caleb Tannor?
