Elite Defensive End Announces Top 6

Mike Allen, a rising senior from Lanier HS, listed out his top 6 schools yesterday evening. Tennessee, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Southern California and Wake Forest all made the cut for the 6’6″ 240-pound defensive end’s services.

CSwvoEdWcAAkWTpThe class of 2017 prospect’s recruitment exploded around December last year when Alabama became his third school to offer and that momentum has not let up since. He now holds around 30 offers from most of the top football schools in the country.

Allen played on one of the best defenses in the state last year at Lanier and his play was a big reason why. He is very quick off the ball and his ability to change direction gives offensive tackles nightmare at the high school level.

The rising senior is one of the most explosive athletes in the state of Georgia and is just scratching the surface at his potential. Allen has gained an additional 15 pounds from last season and prime to have a big final season of high school football.

Expect the elite defensive end to take all five of his official visits, so don’t expect a decision anytime soon. Whoever ends up with Allen’s commitment will be landing an athlete with some of the biggest upside in the country.

A lot can happen from now until Allen makes a decision, so stay tuned to @RecruitGeorgia on Twitter to hear the latest recruiting news around the Peach State.
