Walton’s Junior Has Big Season

Blake Landon is an impressive junior guard from Walton High School who has caught the eye of Recruit Georgia. The offensive guard blows defenders off the ball with ease and paved an expressway for SR back KK Brooks.

Landon is an absolute beast at pulling and destroying defenders. He gets real low, and his tremendous leg drive knocks most defenders back. He could play across any of the offensive positions because of how versatile he is.

Blake LandonWalton’s coach Mo Dixon said as much: “Blake is an extremely versatile lineman. Started at offensive tackle his sophomore year. Moved to offensive guard his junior year and was lethal at pull kicks and traps.”

Dixon continued, “(He) finishes blocks relentlessly and has an outstanding attitude!”

One quality that stands out about Landon is his ability to finish his blocks. He consistently makes impact blocks that result in long runs. The Walton coaches find a lot of ways to utilize his athleticism.

Landon displays good sportsmanship and is the type of player who will knock you down then, after the play, help his opponent back up.

“He is a true gentlemen… with a mean streak,” coach Dixon said emphatically.

Landon’s recruitment should really begin to pick up once coaches see his film and get him on campuses for junior days. Until then, stay tuned to Recruit Georgia for his latest recruiting updates.
