The Truck Moving Ahead Full Steam

Jamarion ‘The Truck’ Williams is someone we have covered over the years and his senior year has been noteworthy. The big 5’11” 225 lbs. running back has been playing his best football and wanted to talk about the 2023 season.

“It’s been going good. I’ve been getting better and better throughout the season. Currently, I have 953 yards and I will touch the 1,000 mark tomorrow guaranteed. I’ve sat out 2 games off an ankle injury so now that I’m 100 percent again I’ve been able to move how I want now,” he said.

We have always enjoyed the candid nature of Williams. He is confident, and one reason why we think Appling County is a frontrunner to make the 2A state title game.

On the recruiting front, Williams has not been able to get a lot of traction with no offers yet and has not taken any visits recently. Granted, Williams is confident that more recruiting attention will accumulate after the season.

Truthfully, Williams is part of a group of senior running backs that colleges are sleeping on. He is powerful, but surprising acceleration and is capable of ripping off 200 yards like he did last week against Tattnall Co. any given night.

We believe that his recruitment will certainly pick up more attention as Appling County makes its way through the playoffs. Recruit Georgia will be there each weekend reposting Williams highlights and keeping track of his recruitment on top of athletes all over the state so be sure to follow @RecruitGeorgia on Twitter/X to hear the latest.
