Summer Recruiting Update for Jeremy Horton

Leaping onto the recruiting scene this offseason is Jeremy Horton from Veterans high school. The class of 18 wide receiver had a solid season last year but his performance during the offseason has been eye popping.

Horton has been nearly impossible to defend in 1 v 1 situations, using his incredible combination of agility and route running. The young wideout really digs into the defensive back, and even though he is on the smaller side, Horton’s physical play creates excellent separation from the defensive back.

Time and again we have seen him make very tough catches against bigger players draping all over him. The young Veterans athlete is great at reading the trajectory of the ball and either high-pointing the pass or shielding the defensive back completely from the ball.

On June 24th he received his first offer from Jacksonville State, but we expect more schools to be intrigued with the elite route runner. Others have realized his talents outside of Jax State, the Rising Seniors All Star game invited the young wide receiver to their exhibition in December.

Horton, a freshly minted 3 star from our experts at 247 and Scout, let Recruit Georgia know his upcoming plans.

“I will be camping at Coastal Carolina this weekend and at Mercer and East Tennessee State next week.”
