All-State Linebacker Commits to Ball State

MORE COMMITMENT NEWS

Ball State picked up a major commitment today from all-state linebacker Michael Robinson from Allatoona High School. The speedy linebacker made his commitment official when he sent this tweet:

Ball State has been cleaning up the state of Georgia over the last month, and Robinson could very well be the best player to commit so far. The athletic linebacker had a big fall and totaled 102 tackles, seven sacks and two INTs—one of which was returned for a touchdown.

He had over 15 offers to date, and his commitment to Ball State might surprise some recruiting analysts who thought he was a lock at Indiana. The Cardinals have 22 commitments in their recruiting class, and without any question, they have out-recruited every other out-of-state mid-major school for Georgia talent.

Robinson’s commitment marks Ball State’s eighth from the state of Georgia, and he should help bolster their defense almost immediately. With his commitment, they are landing a player with Power 5 ability. He is an explosive player who gets downhill and fills a hole faster than a bucket of water. The senior has a good frame to add weight and should flourish in the Cardinals’ program.
