2017 OFFENSIVE TACKLES – scroll down to watch highlights & scouting reports

C/O 17 Jonathan Stewart
OT Mountain View

Big Jonathan Stewart from Mountain View has a massive frame. Standing at 6’8″ and weighing 290 pounds, Stewart has the potential to become an excellent offensive tackle with the proper coaching. We saw him on film go up against some pretty good lineman and hold his own – even put one 4 star DT on the turf. Stewart has only played one year of organized football and is just scratching the surface at his potential. Mercer and Elon are his lone offers to date, but we think P5 schools will bite on this high-ceiling project at offensive tackle once they see him up close.

C/O 17 Trey Iorillo
OT Harrison

Iorillo is a big moving body out on the field but coordinated enough to remain under control. The Harrison rising senior is 6’4″ 289 pounds and gets excellent leverage when blocking. He showcases good run blocking technique, keeping a flat back. We really like his size and how well he should translate as a consistent pass blocker at the next level. He has light feet and approaches the game with a lot of intensity. Iorillo was first team All Region and All Cobb County. The rising senior has received offers/interest from Ivy League Schools and Military Academies thus far.

C/O 17 Tyler Thurmond
OT Buford

Thurmond (6’6″ 280) just looks like a P5 offensive lineman when he gets off the bus. His long body is a major advantage and his arm length gives pass rushers nightmares. The big lineman keeps his legs churning and plays like a prototypical offensive tackle. He seals off his man on the edge excellently, making gaping holes for the running back to run through. This spring Georgia State, Charlotte, Samford, Old Dominion, & NC State have offered.

C/O 17 Jack Franklin
OT Mill Creek

Franklin is a mauling right tackle prospect with surprising athleticism for his 6’4″ 320 frame. Franklin goes head to head against highly coveted DE’s and out plays them. His quickness in open space cannot be stated enough. At times, he is so fast at the point of attack that he surprises defensive linemen. Franklin has solid technique and outstanding leg drive when run blocking. This offseason he has earned offers from mid-major FBS programs, but with spring practice coming up, we believe that should change.
