Robert Black IV Goes Out West to Air Force

MORE COMMITMENT NEWS

Newton senior safety Robert Black IV committed to Air Force this evening. The big hitting defensive prospect made it all official when he Tweeted:

His commitment is right after last weekend’s visit to Colorado Springs where he got hangout with the staff, see the facilities, and take a look at their iconic stadium nestled within the Rocky Mountain Range. He chose the Falcons over offers from Furman, Samford, Army, Tennessee State, and several more mid-majors.

Air Force offered the safety over the summer on June 15th. Black is a great fit at the Academy and is the epitome of a student-athlete – he sports 3.8 GPA and scored 24 on the ACT.

On the field, the senior is a fluid athlete, quick to step up in run support, and deliver a big hit that drives the ball carrier into the turf. He flies to the ball with an aggressive mindset that is perfect for an attacking defense at the next level. Watch his film, and you will notice the hits just keep on coming, and for that very reason Black was the winner of the 1st annual Recruit Georgia “Hitstick” award back in 2015.

Black is the 47th commit for Air Force in the Class of 17, and unbelievably just the first commit from the Peach State.
