Welcome to another edition of the Recruiting Recap! I hope everyone is doing well! We got another great night of football up ahead, and will be writing down our predictions for tonight’s game later today, so check back after lunch to see who we pick.
Thanks for stopping by, and if you are new here this is a feature where we tally up all of yesterday’s offer, commitments, do a heating up feature and a sleeper of the day as well. Should be a solid recap, there was a flurry of offers yesterday afternoon at least.

Heating Up
Nathan Vail
2022 Harrison
The 6’2″ 185 lbs. safety continues his hot streak of offers, and his recruitment is officially heating up. Both Kansas and Duke offered yesterday, but they follow a good list offers here in September from schools like Wake Forest, Kent State, GT & Boston College. That’s five P5 offers in just the last few weeks, and it seems like things are just getting started here. Vail has outstanding speed at the FS spot and is able to cover each sideline making plays. Definitely want this 2022 recruit on your board.
Sleeper of the Day
Keeman Hayes
2021 Tucker
Hayes gets good depth in his zone up top and does a nice job of playing conservatively in the passing game. Against the run though, the 2021 defender is aggressive, and gets downhill quickly. He does a very good job of wrapping up at the midsection of the ball carrier. He is an efficient tackler, getting the ball carrier down quickly. Do not like how he loses his feet through the attempt, and would like to see him drive through the tackle but usually he generates enough power and momentum to knock the ball carrier down quickly regardless. Hayes plays at a high intensity and was extremely productive in 2019. He shows the versatility to plays some FS and SS at the next level. As a junior he was mostly at SS it seems and a lot of his plays came against the run, but overall his frame and athleticism gives him a lot of versatility. I do like the amount of backside tackles you see on film and the overall aggression he plays the game with. He’s a good defender for a heavy nickle based defense. Hayes holds offers from Akron, Elon and Gardner Webb at the moment but the 6’1″ athlete definitely deserves more looks from D1 programs as wind down this recruiting cycle.
