Recruiting Recap 9/2

Welcome to another edition of the Recruiting Recap! Sorry for missing yesterday, but we are back and with the September 1st period open now, class of 2022 recruits can actually be recruited. So there is a lot of recruiting news here in this recap, I’ll do my best to track down all of yesterday’s offers.

Anyways, thanks for stopping by! If you are new here this feature is to keep up to date with the daily recruiting happenings around the state. We sum up offers, commitments while also having a sleeper of the day too.

Still a lot of interest around the class of 2021, so seniors do not lose hope. College coaches who need help finishing off their class please get in contact, we can set you up better than any recruiting service in the country! Also, still working on team pages. Now have Statesboro, St. Francis and soon to be Mt. Zion-Carrollton in the works here.

Hope all is well, crazy that we almost have football back! Hope everyone is staying safe. – David

Commitments

Bennett Christian
2022 Allatoona
The Ohio State

Scoop: Christian is one of the blocking/receiving combo tight ends in the country. The 6’6″ tight end is a standout run blocker, that’s his best skill set this point, but he is also a legit pass target in the redzone. He is all set for a big junior year here and should be one of the leading receivers among TE’s in the state of Georgia.

Sleeper of the Day

Marshall Chambers
2021 Hephzibah

Chambers is flat out tough to tackle, and his good run vision keeps plays going for way too long. It has to be exausting trying to catch him late in the game. Pretty good thrower, not just during camp season but it also translates over to the regular season. Makes throws in tight windows. Edited his junior film to mostly be throws, and what you will notice is that even though he makes good throws in the short to intermediate game, but want to see more deep balls that illustrate his arm strength. Definitely a knack for the position, and like I said, Chambers squeezes in passes into tight areas. Leads the receiver fairly well, very soft touch to his passes. Has started since his sophomore year. Probably his best skill is running the football, and he would be a nice fit in an option offense where his quickness and creativity on the fly will lead to huge plays. Chambers has improved his GPA over the last year and is now at a 3.0. The Naval Academy has expressed some interest over the summer and we think he is set for another strong football season here.
