Welcome to another edition of the Recruiting Recap! We are going to make this quick and sweet, there is not a lot of time today.

Hope everyone is doing well. Thanks for stopping by, and if you are new here, this a feature where we sum of yesterday’s offers, commitments and also post our sleeper of the day.

Not much else to say, so let’s jump into the recruiting news from Thursday! – David

Josh Graham
2021 Norcross
Morgan State

Scoop: Smart cornerback who has played a lot of varsity football in the highest classification in Georgia. Graham has good instincts, and makes good reads on the football.

Logan Johnson
2021 Prince Ave.
Troy

Scoop: Best route runner we have seen here in the state of Georgia over the last 5 years. Johnson might be small, but he plays the game with a ton of passion, and his elite quickness allows for him to get outstanding separation.

Gunner Stockton
2022 Rabun Co.
South Carolina

Scoop: Stockton has been putting up video game numbers since he first got on campus. Possible the top dual threat QB in his class, the 2022 QB is smart, savvy and in a few years will be suiting up for the Gamecocks.

Jalil Muhammad
2021 Creekside
FIU

Scoop: Muhammad is a bully on the offensive line and has excellent size weighing in at 290-300 lbs. The 2021 recruit has been starting on varsity since his sophomore year. He chose FIU over a slew of D1 offers.

Sleeper of the Day

Jace Godwin
2021 Troup Co.

Godwin is a super smart football player. He sees the field extremely well. Not sure how big the 2021 recruit truly is, but I love his pursuit angles and the urgency he plays with. He closes, and it’s not just good acceleration but also just pure intensity. Godwin jumps plays, he gets interceptions from being in great positioning. Love how he plays the game, does a nice job in both man and zone coverage. Pretty physical overall, has just incredible football instincts. Excellent tackling in the middle of the field meeting the ball carrier at the thighs. Fits well at the nickle spot at the college level. He needs to work more on hip quickness and just changing directions. Definitely better in zone. He could be set for a big interception year up ahead. Godwin’s lone D1 offer comes from Presbyterian, but definitely think more D1 schools need to check him out.
