Ryan Dupont
2021 Blessed Trinity
Air Force

Scoop: Preseason All-State linebacker was a key component to BT’s run to a state title last year where he led the team in tackles. He’s smart as a whip, and at 6’1″ 225 lbs. he meets the ball carrier in the gaps with authority. Air Force did the their due diligence recruiting Dupont, and have themselves a smart linebacker who is effective against the run, but also shows good instincts in pass coverage too.

Sleeper of the Day

Quentavious Hunter
2021 Mitchell Co.

Hunter took the starting QB job at Mitchell County his junior year, and no doubt he was the better passer than who he replaced. Arm strength will have to improve some, but he is definitely a quick angular athlete who shows good quickness and a fluid running stride. He does a pretty good job of looking off the defense, and doesn’t just lock onto a receiver, which is pretty impressive, and he does a good job of timing his passes down the middle. He has good field vision. Hunter really needs to bulk up though and try to get in the weight room ASAP – that would help with arm strength I’m sure. He’s definitely a better passer than initially expected, but throwing motion needs to cleaned up a good bit. He’s also a very patient player and does a good job of settling into the pocket to find the open man. Hunter could really make a nice jump over the next year, but would like to see him use his feet more on film. He shows solid cutback vision, but simply doesn’t run the ball all that much. Hunter makes some pretty difficult throws on film, and shouldn’t be a QB that you completely fall asleep on by any means, especially schools still looking for dual threats late in the 2021 cycle. He does a good job of leading his receiver. Don’t see too many throws beyond 45 yards, which we’ll have to see where he is at this fall, but again that could be remedied with more time in the weight room. Three sport athlete who also plays basketball and baseball. Looks like he has grown a few inches in the last year since we last got his information – now at about 6’2″ and 170 lbs.
