Outside of that, I just want to thank the people who continue to show up and support Recruit Georgia! Without you guys, my company could not exist, so we are very thankful that you guys continue to visit the website. – David

Commitments

Sebastian Sagar
2021 Grayson
Georgia Tech

Scoop: Sagar just transferred down from New York. He held a slew of FBS offers including Miami, but over the weekend GT came in with a strong pitch and earned the commit yesterday. Sagar is a no-doubt P5 athlete, he’s got excellent size at 6’3″ 215 lbs. and flies to the football looking for a big hit.

Lyndon Cooper
2021 Carrollton
NC State

Scoop: Cooper was our pick for the top center prospect in the state this year. He’s a terrific run blocker, showing a flat back and outstanding fundamentals in general. We absolutely love this pick-up for the Wolfpack, who now have a handful of Georgia commits in this class.

Austin Eldred
2021 Walton
Kennesaw

Scoop: Eldred started to see his recruitment heat-up at the end of April, but it was the Kennesaw offer that came in July 8th that drew his commitment. The 2021 cornerback had 6 interceptions last year and 17 pass break-ups. He has quick hips and shows very good speed closing on the football.

Heating Up

Tre’Von Marshall
2021 Community Christian

The 6’3″ pass-rusher has seen a major uptick in college interest here in the last two weeks. Originally landing an offer from Southern Miss earlier this month, a close neighbor in Miss State now has offered. Marshall originally caught our eye at Cherokee Bluff his sophomore year, and moving over to Community Christian his junior year. He’s got a long body-type and we can see additional colleges jumping on board here soon.

Sleeper of the Day

Palmer Bush
2021 Athens Acd.

Bush had one of the best touchdown to interception ratios in the state converting on 29 and only losing on 3. The 6’1″ 195 lbs. quarterback was also completing at around 70%. Sure, he has one of the best WR’s in the country to throw to, but not all of his balls go that direction. He makes some nice throws where he leads the receiver very nicely. Doesn’t get fazed by pressure in the pocket, has several plays where he gets his legs taken out right after he throws. Pretty good fundamentals, does a good job of stepping into throws. Definitely good footwork and a pretty quick release too. Bush has average arm strength, and would definitely like to see him put the football more on a line. Sometimes it is warranted, and he does show a very good touch on passes down the sideline. His ability to lead the receiver is by far his best skill set – he is very good at that. Just a natural ability at it. To me, he is one of the more under the radar QB’s in the entire state. Maybe it’s because his team historically only runs the ball, but in 2019 Bush put up 1900 yards thru the air, and I really like his timing with his receiver and ability to lead. He needs to become a bigger threat as a runner in 2020, that will certainly help a lot.
