PROSPECT FORM

Sleeper of the Day

Nasser Aliou
2026 West Hall
Defensive Back

The West Hall staff is all about 2026 defensive back prospect Nasser Aliou. He was an All-Region performer as a junior playing both wide receiver and nickle. Pulling back his film, and right away, you can see the explosive pop in Aliou’s first few steps. He is a quick reactor, showing impressive lateral quickness to get around blockers and then solid instincts gauging up his tackle attempts. Pursuit angles are good and should improve with more experience; granted, an adjustment will be necessary at the college level. Aliou beats the blocks on the flat, and for a lot of college programs, that will probably be his most coveted skill. He is a screen buster with good physicality to take on blockers. Quick and abrupt with his movements. Nice size at 6’1″. Very good speed for an almost 200 lbs. athlete and a background in track, too. Colleges want to see him more in pass coverage, dropping back with depth, and affecting the passing game. That’s something to look for this fall. We can see Aliou garnering more attention in the 2nd half of the season as colleges reevaluate their recruiting boards. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him get some reps at running back this fall either. Aliou is an excellent student with a 4.0 GPA, so high academics should be heavily involved.

Three n’ Out

Coach Brown over at Jefferson posted about 2026 two-way lineman Michael Pauley earning an offer from Southeast Missouri yesterday. At around 6’3″ and 275 lbs, the explosive rising senior has a reported 35″ vertical jump, which is crazy considering his frame. Pauley was a major contributor for the 3A runner-ups last season, where he primarily lined up at LT. Good leg drive while engaged, navigating his man upfield and consistently to the ground. Looks like Pauley has filled out his frame since last fall, and as of now, very underrated. He should become a solid interior blocker at the next level.

No player in the state is blowing up like Success Nwabude. The Athens Christian basketball player turned football prospect is prepared for this upcoming camp circuit and has not missed his shot yet. Over the last few weeks, Nwabude has visited Georgia, Florida State, South Carolina, and Georgia Tech, where each visit resulted in an offer. At 6’7″ and 245 lbs., the huge defensive prospect has a rare blend of fluidity and size that could one day have him play on Sunday. No doubt, by the end of the summer, Nwabude will be among the most coveted defensive 2027 prospects in the state.

Look who is among the top performers at the Elite 11 Camp this week! None other than Grayson’s talented dual-threat passer, Travis Burgess. The rising senior shored up his recruitment with a commitment to UNC about a month ago and should be fully focused on repeating as 6A state champs. Despite the accolades, we still feel like Burgess is underrated. The state is loaded with QB talent (a writing piece in the works), but his development over the last year has been impressive. If he continues this progression over the next few years, then Burgess could be the best of this year’s QB class in Georgia.
