The West Hall staff is all about 2026 defensive back prospect Nasser Aliou. He was an All-Region performer as a junior playing both wide receiver and nickle. Pulling back his film, and right away, you can see the explosive pop in Aliou’s first few steps. He is a quick reactor, showing impressive lateral quickness to get around blockers and then solid instincts gauging up his tackle attempts. Pursuit angles are good and should improve with more experience; granted, an adjustment will be necessary at the college level. Aliou beats the blocks on the flat, and for a lot of college programs, that will probably be his most coveted skill. He is a screen buster with good physicality to take on blockers. Quick and abrupt with his movements. Nice size at 6’1″. Very good speed for an almost 200 lbs. athlete and a background in track, too. Colleges want to see him more in pass coverage, dropping back with depth, and affecting the passing game. That’s something to look for this fall. We can see Aliou garnering more attention in the 2nd half of the season as colleges reevaluate their recruiting boards. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him get some reps at running back this fall either. Aliou is an excellent student with a 4.0 GPA, so high academics should be heavily involved.
