What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?

Fast, smooth route running, Tall and lengthy, good blocker,, physical

Powell has gained 15 lbs. since his junior this season, and heading into the spring evaluation period, he is now 205 lbs with good improvements across the board with his weight lifting. The most impressive lift being a 285 lbs. power clean. The 2027 tight end prospect has a good body composition, with a frame that should continue to fill out and become a solid all-around tight end 230-245 lbs. TE at the next level. For now, he is a receiving specialist, lining out wide, and being the #1 target for Lumpkin County. Powell is quicker in short spaces than you would expect. He comes out of his breaks, turning up field and eating up yardage after the catch. The 2027 receiver gets around several CB on short slants where he accelerates away, taking the defender off pursuit. His film is littered with Powell running short, to intermediate routes where he finds space in the coverage or just beats the man to get quick yardage. Good reactions, making several tough diving catches, but can also catch against his body. Going into this next season, colleges will want to see have a bigger impact with contested catches, especially in the redzone, while also seeing what he can do as a blocker. The improvement in the weight room should give Powell a pretty big edge for this upcoming season, and we suspect more explosive plays and broken tackles.
