Recruiting Recap 6/17

Welcome to another edition of the recruiting recap! I hope everyone is have a great day thus far! For those who are new, this recap includes all of yesterday’s offers, commitment, and our sleeper of the day – we are going to hold off doing three heating up, there is just not a ton of offers going out right now.

But real quick, I know everyone is excited about getting back to football here. I’ve seen several 3rd party camps show up, and we have even thought about doing an event. We have not schedule out anything yet, and tracking the Covid-19 trends from the Georgia Department of Health website. The state is now starting to trend up to our previous highs back in April, and for that reason, I’m apprehensive in doing anything definitively, but rest assured, if we do run a combine, it will separated out into smaller groups throughout the day.

Outside of that – college coaches hit me up on twitter or email at recruitgeorgia1@gmail.com. We are making new profile each day but also offer a premium NCAA compliant database as well.

Sleeper of the Day

Keonvay Clark
2021 Turner Co.

Clark made first team All-Region getting 600 yards and 5 touchdowns to go along with one long return for a score as well. He was like a cork in a bottle of champagne just waiting to be popped off and taken to the house. Seriously though, Clark had some explosive plays on the year where he just blows by the defender. Good hands, Clark can corral passes with contact but for the most part, he just uses his speed, which is very good for sure. Changes directions very well and explodes out of a cut. Had at least one TD on the year where he was basically tackled before the ball came and still caught the pass. Doesn’t high-point, actually catches a lot of balls flat footed. Doesn’t come back to the football, that needs to change. Very good athlete, but needs to be more aggressive attacking the pass, and he lucked into a few of these balls just getting tipped by the defensive back. Colleges will probably be conflicted on Clark’s upside at the next level, to me he is probably going to land with a G5 school. Hasn’t even come close to filling out his 6′ 165 lbs. frame either – Clark could really add a whole new element to his game, but is probably best suited for deep fly routes or just various screen plays. To our knowledge, Clark still doesn’t have any offers, but we also cannot find him on social media anywhere, so cannot confirm. His older brother is Tamorrian Terry over at FSU, so good bloodlines for sure.
