Three Heating Up
Damari Alston
2021 Woodward Acd.
Maybe we are cherry picking the last guy we put on the offer sheet from yesterday, but regardless, Alston has seen a major surge in recruiting momentum in the last month. The 2022 Woodward Academy running back earned of course ECU and Tenn yesterday. He also has seen offers from Boston College, UNC, Pitt, Michigan State, South Carolina and Miami in the last month. The 5’10” 195 rising junior was really impressive his sophomore year and has some outstanding top end acceleration.
Gabriel Harris
2023 Thomas Co. Central
Back to back offers from P5 programs as a freshman will certainly catch your attention. We’ve been on the 2023 recruit since last summer. He has excellent size and power for his age, and with schools like South Carolina and Tennessee offering this early, we are sure the recruiting momentum will continue. Definitely looks like TCC has two of the top players in the class of 2023 in Harris and Hopkins.
Daniel Martin
2022 Marietta
Watch Marietta’s championship run last year and Martin certainly impressed. He is a long-athletic hybrid defender who shows a ton of versatility and the quick-twitch to make explosive plays. Speaking of explosions, his recruitment has certainly been just that in the last week. Virginia Tech, Oregon, Georgia and Nebraska have all offered this week. Martin is sure to have over 30 P5 offers sooner rather than later.
Sleeper of the Day
Jaizen Ellingham
2021 Flower Branch
Some of our data is a little old on the 2021 recruit, but still impressive for his age group. Ellingham had a huge stretch in 2019 where he compiled about 700 yards in just 3 games. He is built like a brick house, watched him live against Marist and came away impressed with his power. The stout back has a powerful frame, and should easily be over 2020 lbs. at the next level. Lower legs are tree trunks, runs right through some tackle attempts. Pretty quick feet, has a nice spin move, jukes a good bit more than expected. Might want to save that more when he gets to the 2nd level instead of at the LOS. Working on acceleration into the his top speed is an area to work on. Gets real low before contact and does a very good job of driving his legs through the tackle. Right now Ellingham only has offers from Morehead State and UT-Martin.
