Welcome to another edition of the Recruiting Recap! We are here to tally up yesterday’s offers and commitments to go along with three players who are heating up and of course our sleeper of the day.
I hope everyone is doing well and are excited for a most unique Memorial Day weekend. I do not suspect there will be a recap on Monday, so expect a quick recap on Tuesday morning of everything that happened over the holiday weekend. As always you can contact recruitgeorgia1@gmail.com for further premium information on recruiting, and be sure to checkout our public player database on the website too – we are adding in new athletes daily.
Looks like it was a fairly busy day in the state yesterday, so lets jump right into the action here.

Three Heating Up
Amari McNeill
2021 Peachtree Ridge
McNeill is a 2021 linemen we are pretty big on, and the offers just seem to continue now. Originally, we wrote about McNeill being a pretty big sleeper in this class, well, that has certainly changed. Georgia State, South Alabama and Florida International are all new FBS offers from this month – several more from FCS programs too. As we said earlier, McNeill is a very unique athlete who shows the versatility to play either OT or OG at the next level.
Kanaya Charlton
2022 Brunwick
Seems like we write about Charlton every few weeks in this section. His recruitment has been ablaze lately, with offers from UNC, LSU, West Virginia, Miss State and Alabama in the month of May. Talk about a crazy recruiting month! Charlton deserves every bit of the interest – the 6’6″ 320 lbs. offensive lineman moves incredibly well and is one of the premiere linemen in his class.
Joseph Stellmach
2021 Pope
Stellmach has three offers to his name from Navy, Air Force and Stetson. The 2021 standout attended our combine and according to Tracking Football, he was the 2nd best athlete and tested out as a G5 level athlete. He’s got good size, and still filling out his frame for sure. Probably the easiest prediction here is that Army will be his next offer, which would give the rising senior the trifecta of Academy offers here, but will more FBS programs pull the trigger with an offer? Definitely worth following into the summer months.
Sleeper of the Day
Jamal Janvier
2021 Norcross
Janvier was very good his junior year landing 3 interceptions and 11 PBU’s. It was back in May 2019 when he earned his first offer, which was from Iowa State, but as of late, he has only seen an offer from UT-Martin back in April. What I like about the 2021 recruit is that he goes up and contest the football. He’s not trying to shoulder check or do some pointless hit after the ball carrier has just caught the ball, no, he goes and rakes the pass out. Really like that about the 2021 recruit, and you see that pretty consistently on film. Solid height, but pretty light frame. Gaining weight needs to be a focus, but should be closer to 175-180 during his senior year – which he is on track to do. The 2021 recruit is probably a better fit at CB, but physical enough as a tackler that he plays safety for Norcross. Squares up on the pass more times than not, but sometimes fades away, need to see him get more vertical and try to utilize every inch of his frame more. Now up to 175, which is very promising. Personally think that a lot of D1 programs are sleeping on Janvier here – he is a technically sound defensive back with good versatility, and the improvement in the weight department is very promising.
