Three Heating Up

Kamron Moate
2021 Crisp Co.

The tough-minded defensive tackle stands about 6’1″ 252 lbs. He played in the Rising Senior’s Game and also a three sport athlete in both football, baseball and track & field. Anyone paying attention to last year’s film would know that Moate was a dominant presence for the state runner-ups with over 100 tackles, 18 tackles for loss and 6 sacks. The start of April Moate has been receiving offers from primarily FCS programs like Jax State, EKU and UT-Martin just to name a few, but yesterday the rising senior earned an offer from Charlotte. This was his first FBS offer to date. Expect the D1 interest to continue to increase as we head into the summer.

Jaden Gaines
2021 Chattahoochee

Gaines has made a good bit of improvements already from last fall, where the lanky 6’5″ defensive end was just starting to get a feel for varsity football. He’s added some serious weight, and really getting a lot quicker with his hands. Gaines shows tremendous upside considering his frame, and FBS programs are really starting to take notice. Georgia State, Tulane and Cincinnati have all offered in the month of April. The edge defender would have definitely seen a jump in his recruitment if spring practice took place, but even that aside, he is prime to breakout with more FBS offers on upside alone.

Brayden Dudley
2021 Mill Creek

Roll out Dudley’s film from last year, and you can pretty much bank on him getting FBS interest, and that has certainly been the case as of late. His most recent offers are from Tulane, Louisiana, Iowa State, Michigan State, Eastern Michigan, Coastal and Troy. At 6’3″ and 260 lbs., the rising senior shows a lot of positional versatility at the next level, and could see his weight range anywhere between 280-300 lbs. As of now, we like him as a 3-4 DE at the next level. Dudley is a strong player at the point of attack, he plays with good leverage and does a nice job of occupying the gaps where he lines up. He’s already attracted a fair amount of interest among P5 programs, and can definitely see more bit here in the coming weeks.

Sleeper of the Day

Dylan Spelios
2021 East Coweta

Spelios has an innate ability to get into the backfield and was one of the real standouts at the Rising Senior All-Star game. What is there not to like about the 6’3″ linebacker. He is long physical at the point of attack and plays the game with a ton of urgency. Against some of the toughest competition Spelios seems to always play his best. He had 12.5 sacks last year. He does a very good job of playing off the edge and reading the ball carrier keeping him into backside pursuit. Spelios is intense taking on a blocker. Tackling is pretty solid, his activity is really the difference maker more than fundamentals. I would like to see him drop his hips more and keep his pads parallel to the LOS. He needs to work on his lateral quickness and acceleration in general. Spelios should fill out his frame really well and be a lot closer to 240 lbs. in college. I like his upside and flexibility to play OLB or MLB at the next level. He has a knack at ripping the ball out, did it three times last year including a few top rated backs from Grayson and Colquitt. Right now, colleges’ seem to be taking a conservative approach, but personally think Spelios is a no-doubt FBS recruit.
