Recruiting Recap 4/22

Welcome to another addition of Recruiting Recap where we list all of yesterday’s offers, three players who are heating up and a sleeper of the day. As always, we offer this information to all colleges who are looking to enter the state of Georgia, but for college programs more serious about the state please contact recruitgeorgia1@gmail.com to learn about our NCAA compliant subscription service.

Hopefully everyone is having a safe and productive quarantine while this virus is going on, and perhaps this feature can be a distraction to fans stuck at home as well. Continue to follow, we will be doing recaps Mon-Fri each morning for the foreseeable future (just a tad late today, was talking with a few colleges this morning).

Note: if you received an offer yesterday, just let me know, and will update your info to the list

Three Heating Up

Jaron Willis
2022 Lee Co.

Willis has been blowing up lately landing some highly sought out offers. The impressive edge defender hits like a bag of hammers. He plays a hybrid SS/OLB role for Lee County, and is very quick getting into the backfield. In the month of April he has been offered by GT, FSU, Nebraska, Ole Miss, Auburn, VT, & Florida. No doubt, he is quickly becoming one of the more coveted defenders in his recruiting class, and it is easy to see more P5 programs piling on with offers.

Holden Staes
2022 Westminster

This one is long overdue, but Staes has to be one of the hottest recruits in the state right now. Just yesterday he heard from Arizona State and UNC, but that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Just in the month of April he has received offers from Penn State, Nebraska, GT, South Florida, Oregon, Southern Cal, Colorado, Georgia and South Carolina. The two-way tight end/defensive end stands 6’4″ 220 lbs and was a huge part of the Wildcat passing attack. His recruitment really took off in the month of March where he received his first offer from Michigan. Staes filled out our recruiting form back in August of last year when we were evaluating potential breakout recruits before the season. With great body control and hands, he is sure to be one of the most coveted tight ends in the class of 2022.

Jaiden Miller
2021 Glynn Acd.

The former Rising Senior participant has started to see a bump in his recruitment since the end of March where Tennessee State came in with an offer. Fast forward to the month of April and the technically sound defensive back has heard from Long Island, Lafayette College, and Marist. Miller does a very good job of reading the QB’s eyes and is tough in coverage, plus does a very good job of getting his head turned around on the pass to make a play on the ball. We really think D1 programs are going to go hard after him over the next few months.

Sleeper of the Day

Adriel Clark
2021 Rabun Co.

Clark was originally set to play at North Gwinnett, but transferred into the Riverside Military for his junior year where he dominated smaller classification. He is now at Rabun County where he looks to be Gunner Stockton’s top passing target. At 6’4″, his general size allows him to just eclipse the defender from the football. He does a good job of squaring up on the pass too and stretching out his body to make a play. Clark has solid quickness, which helps with his route running and getting separation. More of a possession receiver though, not going to burn the defense going deep. Good athlete overall with solid body composition, should probably be around 220 in college. Would like to see how he does in camps though, some of these DB’s are just not good guarding him at all. Pretty good getting out his release though and uses hands well to get defender off of him. All-State HM and ended up with just around 1000 yards receiving and 15 touchdowns. Expect Clark to continue to be a mismatch in 2-A, he measured out at a solid 6’3.75″ at our combine and posted a 4.23 shuttle time too. Right now he holds offers from Marist and Army, but could really blow up this fall and be one of the state leaders in receiving yards.
