Sleeper of the Day
Jaxon White
2026 Heard Co.
Defensive Lineman
White created a few memorable plays during his 2024 campaign that stand out. The 2026 athlete finds his way around the football, creating several fumbles and one that he scooped and ran back another 50 yards for a score. White has good closing speed for an athlete with his body type. At around 6’1″ and 280 lbs.., he pops out of his stance quickly, keeps his pads low while getting great leverage on the offensive lineman. Arm length doesn’t appear to be an issue. His mobility, technical skill, and relative length allow White to slide across the line of scrimmage and play multiple techniques for Heard County. Strong hands at the point of attack, good balance, breaking through blockers, and keeping feet. White is explosive, showing good burst in his first initial few steps, and his ability to change direction, adjusting laterally to the ball carrier on the edge is unique. Senior year should be a good one. Heard County is a darkhorse state title contender, and White has a solid shot at being All-State by season’s end.

Three ‘n Out
Collin Porterfield is a sophomore out of Alpharetta who recently made a profile for, and had a notable track and field event where he jumped 21’11” on the long jump. That is the 2nd longest for any sophomore in the state and ranks him 2nd behind Chattahoochee’s All-State athlete Derrick Avery. Porterfield is 6’3″, and his length is a differentiator to others names on the list. Once he puts it all together, the sophomore has all of the tools needed to be an elite receiver at the next level.
Blessed to be ranked #2nd In GA for Long jump in the “27” class #AGTG @AlphaProspects @gobigrecruiting @NEGARecruits @RecruitGeorgia @One11Recruiting @deucerecruiting @GEMCLASS_ @AHSTrackField @CoachLandis22 @CoachLandis22 pic.twitter.com/SuHE4Pu2s3

Walton’s new QB, Banks Bouton, tested out with a 4.72 laser time at the Elite 11 Camp in Atlanta over the weekend. The 6’2″ 198 lbs. passer is a transfer from South Carolina, and should immediately elevate the vertical passing of the program while also creating a legitimate threat for explosive +25 yard runs. Of note, Bouton’s transfer is not dissimilar to Carrollton’s new QB Mason Holtzclaw, also a South Carolina native, but better yet, is this a new trend of nearby states’ top passers joining our powerhouse programs? Camden County just earned a transfer from a talented dual-threat out of Florida named William Jackson. So it seems like a trend. Either way, Bouton’s skill level is evident on film; he is a D1 passer and should mesh quickly with the playmakers at Walton.
Thankful to be a part of the @Elite11 Atlanta regional today. I ran a laser timed 4.72 40 yard dash at 6’2 198 pounds. Looking forward to hearing how I did in the other drills @Stumpf_Brian. Thank you for the opportunity. @WaltonRecruits @coachdbrunner @CoachLeviBrown… pic.twitter.com/HCxO5kOAef

MaTeo Wells earned OL MVP at the MVP Camp over the weekend. The Carrollton rising senior has been an impactful blocker getting on the varsity rotation since his sophomore year, and played on the best OL in the state in 2024. Wells has improved a lot over the years and has shared clips dating back to 2020, so we have seen him grow into a technically sound blocker with incredible core strength. Those foundational moments happened at a young age, and his physical maturation is starting to show his fundamental superiority over his peers. At the next level, Wells will almost certainly play center. He is listed at 6′ and 255 lbs, so those predefined measurements college evaluators covet are within reach, and so are the college offers.
I’d like to thank @TheMVPCamps @RustyMansell_ @ChadSimmons_ for MVP Top Linemen Award. I’d also like to thank @najehwilk for breaking my @Hudl film down throughout the years. Thanks for the support I’ve enjoyed your camps and games. @CarrolltonTroj1 @RecruitGeorgia pic.twitter.com/3PxdSxVwyq
