Welcome to another edition of the Recruiting Recap! Thanks for stopping by, and if you are new here, this is a feature that covers all of yesterday’s offers, commitments, decommitments and of course our sleeper of the day.
Hope everyone’s Wednesday has started off well! We are headed into round 2 of the playoffs this weekend, and some players are certainly seeing an uptake of college interest based off their first round performances. We will do our best to track those college offers, so continue to stop by each weekday morning around 10 AM to see all of yesterday’s recruiting news here in Georgia. – David

Tyree West
2022 Tift Co.
Georgia
Scoop: West is one of the top athletes we have seen in the class of 2022. Dating back to his freshman year, West has made an impact both on the varsity level and recruiting world earning a lot of his attention early, and rightfully so, West was already 6’4″ and 230 lbs. back then. He’s now 30-40 lbs. heavier, and it’ll be interesting where the elite athlete ends up on the DL at UGA. There is a good bit of flexibility, but personally see the 2022 prospect becoming a DT and filling out to around 300 lbs.
Noah Jones
2021 Cairo
Georgia
Scoop: The great kicker tradition at Cairo continues, and Georgia had to beat out several more P5 programs in order to get the Syrupmaker star kicker. Jones has one the most consistent legs in the state the last few years, and can boom the ball out from +50 yards.

Sleeper of the Day
Jarriel Cone
2021 Telfair Co.
Cone has nice length at around 6’3″. Pretty solid looking running stride, he definitely shows some quick-twitch with his change of direction after the catch. Played both WR and SS in 2019 and 2020. Cone looks more like a receiver in terms of physicality, he shows pretty decent ball skills but think he could do a better job of playing the football up top. Cone’s length is more inrtirguing on the defensive side of the ball, his ability to change directions should be effective against a spread offense, but does appear to have the mindset more of a receiver than defender. Cone has put together some impressive film the last few years, and we think that bot D1 and D2 programs should really be all over Cone due to his size and versatility. Cone currently holds a lone offer offer from Stetson, and now has a 3.2 GPA, which is up from earlier this year.
