Sleeper of the Day

Jomar Roberts
2025 Miller Grove
Lineman

Roberts is an All-Region and All-County lineman who has grown over the last 6 months to be around 6’2″ and 255 lbs. The 20 lbs. extra weight is obvious on film, and you see Roberts handling 2A players efficiently. Roberts is a highly functional athlete with almost a 30″ vertical jump. That explosive first step led to a few blocked kicks where he jumped the snap and caused havoc. Roberts branched out more to the defensive line in 2024. He is playing well with his hands, getting good leverage, and taking advantage of his long arms. Playing a 3-4 DE spot, Roberts does a nice job of occupying space and playing the gaps. On the OL, he is among the best in 2A with violent hands at the point of attack and the body control to stick with talented pass-rushers off the edge. Roberts’ quickness is impressive, and he has not lost a step with the added weight. If he continues to progress at this rate into college, the 2025 two-way lineman could end up being a steal. He will need to add more weight into the next level, but with wide shoulders, the senior should easily put on weight to around 280. At 6’2″ and 280 lbs., that would be a better fit at DT; granted his OL film is captivating, maybe that will supersede physical fit? Earning first-team All-DeKalb County on the OL is impressive. Center could be the best spot.

Three ‘n Out

Isaiah Mitchell put together a record-breaking performance at Houston County this season with 81 receptions for 1392 yards. With some elite pass-catchers over the year, the Cincinnati commit will ink at the top of the leaderboard for the Bears. Mitchell is a lightning-quick receiver with the top-end speed to blow the lid off the defensive secondary.

Callaway’s 6’4″ 230 lbs. jumbo athlete Bre’Shun Hall earned his 4th D1 offer last night from Hampton. They follow ETSU, West Georgia, and UAB in pursuit of the versatile athlete. Hall can play off the edge or even tight end where his background on the basketball court is showcased with big hands and runs after the catch. Hall’s potential is being overlooked right now, and at the time of writing this, the high-upside athlete only has 30 views on Hudl. His ability to high-point the football is among the best of any TE in this recruiting class, making him a legit red zone target. Hard to see him be overlooked much longer, especially if Callaway pushes as far into the playoffs as we imagine. Don’t be surprised to see Hall’s recruitment snowballs into more offers soon.

What a great season for West Laurens junior athlete Ty Cummings. The 5’8″ athlete had 1751 yards and 26 total touchdowns junior year. He is an explosive dynamite stick with the ball in his hands – receiving direct snaps, lining up at RB, or just playing QB in general. Cumming’s ability to change direction and his top-end speed in the open field is going to grab the attention of D1 programs over the next year. He is a quick accelerator, and we figure that Cummings will put up some big-time numbers during the track season along with various combines he might attend. No doubt, one of the most explosive players in 3A and a 2026 prospect to watch.
