Sleeper of the Day

Zelin Pollard
2025 Howard
Linebacker

Pollard has been a 3-year starter at Howard breaking the school record for total tackles in a career. He has been the beating soul of the defense since he was a sophomore. The senior is a big hitter in space, getting downhill and showing zero hesitation before impact. What you get in Pollard is a guy who sees the ball, and hits the guy carrying it. Simple as that. He played a little more in space in an OLB/SS role during his senior year, even getting more action in coverage, but at the end of the day, Pollard is a downhill run-stopping defender. His tackling in space is excellent, and he consistently gets low. Relying on great fundamentals becomes necessary for any linebacker around 6′ and 200 lbs, and Pollard is consistent with his strike. While he can play some safety, Pollard still needs to get better in coverage, work on getting quicker in the hips, dropping back, etc. His instincts are at the linebacker position. That’s clear as day. That said, if Taye Seymour can transition from linebacker to now a starting safety in the ACC, then Pollard can find his fit too. Finding a player with the intensity and open-field tackling of Pollard would be a major recruiting win, especially for FCS and DII programs reviewing seniors under the radar.

Three ‘n Out

If we did a Bully Squad video for Round 1, then Cartersville JR OL Langston Hogg would have certainly made it. He was crushing defenders in their 37-22 win over Westminster. Hogg also let us know that he was recently rated the #1 center for the class of 2026 per ESPN. Flip over to the media tab on Hogg’s Twitter page, and you’ll see colleges constantly engage with Hogg with invites to games and weekly edits. Following his recruitment over the following months will be fun to watch, and high academics should not discount their chances; Hogg has a 4.6 GPA which ranks him in the 99th percentile of our database.

North Atlanta’s senior offensive tackle recently decommitted from Navy on November 13th and promptly visited Wofford over the weekend. The 2025 blocker helped North Atlanta to the best two-year run in school history. At 6’4″ and 280 lbs. Diedrich has the length and athleticism to play across the line of scrimmage. He is a great student with a 3.85 GPA. With his recruitment opening up now, we feel like more high-academic schools jump into the picture late, so stay tuned.

Not enough talk around 6’7″ junior WR Khalid Worthy out of Holy Innocents’. We are as guilty as anyone, but apparently, 247 Sports has been on the scene ranking Worthy as the #28 player in Georgia this month. Worthy’s Hudl has a modest 173 views at the time of writing this, but after reviewing some of the clips, those numbers are about to pump upwards. Worthy has an insane catch radius and uses his basketball background to adeptly box out defensive backs. It all looks so natural, and Worthy has some of the best high-point abilities of any ‘receiving giant’ we have seen in recent memory. Worthy gets off the ground, showing great balance and ability to collect in the pass. NC State offered yesterday and it looks like a few P4 programs have taken interest, including a UGA visit in October, but Worthy’s recruitment is largely untapped – for now.
