Powerful 6’6″ Milton Freshman Makes Strides

Paul Tchio is a massive young freshman offensive lineman prospect who stands at 6’6″ and weighs 315 pounds. The 2020 recruit played on his junior varsity squad last year for Milton, but that should not thwart off the interest of college scouts, who should be extremely intrigued by his size, athleticism, and shear strength.

No other recruit in the last 6 months has made a more significant weight lifting improvement than Tchio, who filled out the prospect form originally back in July 2016. Since then the powerful young lineman has improved his bench press by a whopping 90 pounds and can now max-out at 340 pounds! And just remember, this is just his 2nd semester of high school.

At the JV level he was dominant and just controlled the lines of scrimmage from both sides at OT and DT. It was a strong first season of HS football, so we asked Tchio what his goals are for the 2017 calendar year.

“My goals for 2017 are to keep working and get better everyday to be the best lineman I can possibly be for the upcoming season.”

Currently no colleges are actively recruiting Tchio, but he has spoken with a few coaches when they visit his school. He expects to attend UGA’s camp this summer and by then more schools should be elbowing their way for an opportunity to see him up close and live.

Tchio is very similar to Reuben Unije from Johns Creek in terms of where he is in his development as a freshman in HS and his upside is everything you look for in a Power 5 athlete. He enjoys playing on both sides of the line of scrimmage and said “I just want to give my team the best opportunity to make a run at state, it doesn’t matter where I’m playing.”
