What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?

I have great speed and great footwork. I feel I can outwork the competition and be a star athlete one day.

Jones was a big-time youth player growing up in the Elbert County system who we think is set for a big senior year. The speedy slot is explosive, hitting his top-end speed in a few strides. That good top-end acceleration will stretch a defense. With a background as a running back, Jones has taken to slot receiver showing good change of directions in tight spaces and the balance to bounce off tackles after the catch. He can step around tacklers and keep his feet. Jones’ running vision is solid, cutting around tacklers, and making the right cut more times than not. He doesn’t over-juke, which is good, but continuing to improve his elusiveness should be a focus. He needs to continue to work on his route running and get more targets on shorter routes, where you would think he could get great separation. Elbert County was one of the best teams in their classification last year and will be looking for several guys in the class of ’25 to step up. Jones is lbs. to lbs. the strongest guy on the roster, so we expect him to have the football more, even if he is in the backfield again, so watch out.
