Anderson was one of our finalists for player of the year in 2-A during his sophomore year – that has never happened over at RG. He is a tackling machine totaling over 100 both his soph and junior year. He has great instincts. A true football player. He reacts to the football so quickly. Anticipation is off the charts. Anderson always seems to have a beat on the play. One of the highest IQ’s in this class regardless of position. Anderson is a punishing tackler. He explores the gaps and plugs up holes. Drives his legs really well through an attempt. Everything looks great in the open field tackling. He shows outstanding agility adjusting to the back, then does an excellent job of dropping hips and exploding through his attempt. There isn’t a ton of film of him in coverage, but what we do see at least on those plays is his ability to read the QB’s eyes and create a few deflections and interceptions. If he was 6’3″ or 6’4″ Anderson would be a coveted national recruit, but he still has the potential to be an all-conference player at the college level. Senior film Anderson has continued to add good weight and even looks a touch faster.
