Seems every time we try to watch Norton’s film that Hudl has some kind of glitch, but we finally got a moment to see what the 2021 recruit is all about after liking individual game highlights last fall. Norton is pretty skill in coverage and I really like how he tracks the football on intermediate to deep passes. He gets his head around. Good tackler too, shows a nice burst where he closes quickly and shows nice textbook form with his hits. He gets good positioning in coverage and just a good feel at reading the football. Tackling is really good, didn’t expect the force he hits with on film just looking at the first few clips. That kind of physicality is impressive and you can expect him to be a whole lot closer to 180 this time a year from now. Looks like his team played a ton of cover 4 last season, but there is some man coverage as well. He has pretty quick hips, rotates them over quickly. Very good at timing his break ups. I’m really impressed with the 2021 recruit, and definitely a corner for D1 programs to watch closely this summer.
