The skinny Ashley was quite the playmaker last year for Crawford County. With 1000 all-purpose yards both rushing and receiving, Ashley was a legit playmaker for his team showing good quickness after the catch and solid top end speed. What I like about Ashley is the sharpness in his cuts. Ashley can really make a cut on a dime and his ability to change directions is so fluid – he loses almost no speed. Ashley also plays some DB, where he had 5 interceptions on the year. His quickness and outstanding acceleration is really where Ashley impresses, and those qualities are perfect for a CB at the next level. Ashley is a pretty physical player too, and he plays fearless, so we think he is a solid looking CB prospect at the next level, despite his rawness in that area. The 2023 athlete is an interesting case for sure, but his production over the last year suggests that his athletic upside is a lot higher than colleges are currently giving him credit for.
