Davis was a huge part of the Fitzgerald offense in 2021. He was playing the slot back role where his combination of running instincts and receiver was a big part to their success. Davis has a good low center of gravity. He is stout, weighing around 190 lbs., and continuously falls forward on contact. Davis is a locked in football player who does a nice job of executing the Fitzgerald offense and they really do line him up everywhere on the field. He has pretty good running vision, but for the most part Davis is a north-south football player. He didn’t break off a lot of long runs last year, but nice chunks. We would like to see him take that next step as a running back. He has the frame and strength, but improving his agility and keeping his feet more through contact would help a lot. We like Davis a lot, he’s tough as nails and doesn’t back down, plus he also excels on defense at OLB where he fights hard to get off blocks and seal off the edge.
