Grandy has an impressive athletic profile. At 6’1″ and 195 lbs. the powerful senior back was a key part to the Savannah Country Day offense. He breaks tackles. That’s a consistent part to his film. Does he have true break away speed, no, but Grandy is able to fight for extra yards and his top end acceleration can catch a defense by surprise. His running instincts are okay, he is mostly looking to get to the outside, but does make a few nice cutbacks. Grandy is strong. He breaks a lot of tackles, I know I said that already, but it’s worth mentioning several times. We like his determination to get extra yards and fall forward. I really like how hard he hits the hole. You would think option teams would be all about that. He does need to work on his pad level, as he runs a little too upright. Grandy has a nice little spin move that he consistently does on film. He’s fairly underrated right now with few views on Hudl, but the type of player who could be set for a big senior year.
