Franklin didn’t play his junior year, but the 2023 safety prospect still has to be on your recruiting board. Franklin is a good athlete with excellent size. He has good coordination and reactions to the play. He’s powerful, finishes off plays with impact and looking to drill his opponent. Franklin looks like a really good SS prospect at the next level or potentially even linebacker if he continues to fill out. We did hear back about the injury problems for Franklin last year. He suffered multiple dislocated knee caps/patellar tears and also fractured his shin right before the season after healing up from that. Obviously, that puts a huge question on his ability to maintain health, but if he can do that, then Franklin should be viewed as one of the better more versatile defenders in the class of 2023.
